Who Benefits from Therapy?

Therapy isn’t just for those who are “in crisis.” It’s for anyone looking to enhance their life and well-being. For men, societal expectations often dictate that we remain stoic and self-reliant, which can prevent us from seeking help when we need it most. Therapy offers a safe, supportive environment where you can confront and navigate issues without fear of judgment.

Key Benefits of Therapy for Men:

  • Build Emotional Strength: Learn to express and process emotions in healthy ways.

  • Increase Self-Awareness: Understand your thoughts, behaviors, and patterns to create positive change.

  • Create Better Relationships: Improve communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy.

  • Improve Mental Health: Tackle issues like anxiety, depression, and stress with practical tools.

MY Therapeutic style

  • Warm

The key to a strong, successful therapeutic relationship is to create a safe-space where clients feel comfortable to be their most authentic selves.

  • Humorous

Therapy often uncovers some of the most painful, hidden realities about ourselves and our lives. It is important to maintain levity so that clients feel they can continue to explore these topics.

  • Open-minded

This is a judgment free zone where people are encouraged to explore and appreciate themselves.

FAQs

  • Yes, I currently accept United Healthcare, Oxford, Aetna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield New Jersey, and a few more.

I use two websites, Alma and Headway, that handle all scheduling and billing, copay, co-insurance, etc. It streamlines and simplifies the process for everyone.

  • I do telehealth virtually via a HIPAA compliant platform.

  • I utilize numerous modalities that include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.

With that said, I believe that the client is most in charge of what we are here to work on. I feel that therapy is most successful and productive when the goals are driven by the client. My role is to keep sessions focused and provide clinical expertise.
